February 1, 2016 Academy Pusat Latihan Komputer RPIE offering Professional Diploma / Professional Degree Three years ago World Vision Sri Lanka (WVL) began ‘Learning for Transformation’ with GULL and more than 200 WVL staff and community volunteers attended today’s joyful graduation in Colombo. Deputy Chief of Staff, Prime Minister’s Office said she was delighted that so many women from local communities are part of the process.

January 8, 2016 Academy Technical college students, future backbone of the national economy 技職院校學生，未來國家經濟的重要支柱為向先進國看齊，我國教育部近年著手改革技職教育。官方數據顯示，目前有超過10萬名學生爭著申請就讀總共只有2萬1000個學額的技職學院，而這樣熱烈的現象是前所未有的。唸技職學校，畢業後出路廣人力資源部技術發展局(JPK)總監拿督彭紹良指出，國家未來的經濟倚重高技能的熟練工人，經濟轉型計劃所創造的330萬個就業機會，其中超過40%就是需要這些人才。人力資源發展基金(HRDF)首席執行員阿里巴達魯丁指出，很多人认为唸技職教育不如唸大學，可是在德国·，60至70%的學生選擇技職學校，畢業後出路寬廣，失業率也低。因為技職教育，而成就德國成為工業強國。技職教育逐漸受到政府重視政府已意識到若要成為先進國，不能只依賴廉價勞力，而是必須大量栽培能應付高科技工業的熟練工人。有鑑於此，技職教育日漸受到政府重視。根據教育大藍圖，政府的目標是在2015年之前，將修讀技職課程的學生比率，從目前的5%提高至10%。所謂行行出狀元，在這個滿街都是大學生的時代，即使技職教育出身，也未必會被比下去。相反的，在我國邁向先進國的路上，技職院校培訓出來的學生，將是國家經濟的重要支柱。 Read More
